Nitesh Tiwari’s next epic, Ramayana, has become one of the most talked-about upcoming Bollywood films, thanks to its amazing ensemble cast. The filmmakers will release a special preview of the film on April 2, 2026. However, before that, the team headed to the West to present the film’s first visuals to an international audience.
During the event, Ranbir Kapoor discussed his character, Lord Rama. The internet is filled with images from Ranbir Kapoor’s recent vacation to Los Angeles. At the Ramayana event, the actor is joined by director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra. The team went off together to reveal a crucial asset from their upcoming film Ramayana in front of a select audience.
While addressing the audience, the Bollywood star discussed playing Lord Rama in Tiwari’s adaptation of the classic. Ranbir quoted, “Lord Rama has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries, and he will continue being so long after we are gone.”
“He enlightens us about the triumph of the human spirit in terms of adversities. He stands for compassion, for courage, for righteousness, and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, which stands for an ideal man,” Ranbir adds.
As per Pinkvilla reports, it’s announced yesterday that the team behind Ramayana is preparing to reveal the first sight of its character on April 2, 2026. According to a source close to the creation, the asset is intended to introduce the universe of Ramayana through its characters.
Ranbir will play Lord Rama, with South star Yash portraying Ravana. They will be joined by Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Apart from them, the cast includes Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, and others.
