Rani Mukerji opens up about daughter Adira turning 10; calls herself an ‘enthu’ mother

Rani Mukerji recently offered a rare and warm glimpse into her life as a mother. The actor visited the HT City office for Stars In the City with Sonal Kalra, where she spoke about her journey in the film industry, her upcoming release Mardaani 3, and opened up about motherhood, including her close bond with her daughter Adira, who has now turned ten years old.

Sharing her thoughts on Adira entering her “double digits,” Rani described the milestone as beautiful yet emotional. She admitted that she often revisits her daughter’s baby pictures, missing the days when she could carry her around everywhere. The actor laughed as she recalled how Adira now teases her for being overly nostalgic, gently reminding her that she has grown up. Rani added that children, especially girls, grow up far too quickly, making those early years even more precious.

The actor also spoke about the close bond she shares with Adira, calling her daughter her best friend. Rani revealed that she constantly reassures Adira of this friendship, ensuring that their relationship goes beyond that of just mother and child.

When asked whether Adira senses her mother’s nervousness ahead of Mardaani 3’s release, Rani smiled and said her daughter’s priorities are far simpler.
According to Rani, Adira is more concerned about her mother making it back in time for her school’s Sports Day.

The actor shared that she is eagerly planning her schedule to attend the event, calling herself an extremely enthusiastic mother who cannot wait to cheer and run alongside the children.
