The 64 year old father of rapper, Nicki Minaj, Mr. Robert Maraj has died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in New York City, the police said. Maraj was said to be walking on that road in Mineola, Long Island at 6:15 when the car passing by hit him on Friday.
The driver left the scene of the accident and Maraj was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on Saturday. Police are now asking witnesses to the fatal crash to come forward. Minaj, 38 was born in Onika Tanya Maraj in Trinidad and was raised in the New York City borough of Queens. She has not made any statement publicly about her father’s death.
