Real Madrid will consider bids for Eden Hazard this summer, due to the Belgian superstar’s troubles since joining the club from Chelsea. It is also stated that the La Liga powerhouses will consider bids for Gareth Bale and Luka Jovic.
The European Super League’s demise, as well as Los Blancos’ interest in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, has left the club in need of finances.
Since his mega-money move from the Blues less than two years ago, the former Chelsea star has failed to live up to expectations. Despite the fact that Hazard might have been a free agent the next year, Real Madrid paid over €100 million in 2019 – a choice that appears increasingly dumb with each mediocre performance.
Hazard has been plagued by injury problems since going to the Bernabeu in a big deal, with the tricky forward making just 43 appearances for Los Blancos across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Bale has been on loan at Tottenham Hotspur this season, scoring 11 goals in 20 Premier League matches. The Welshman has fallen out of favor in Spain, with both parties feeling cheated. Bale thought that manager Zinedine Zidane treated him unfairly, while Zidane thought that the winger was never truly living up to his potential.
Bale is in the final year of his Real Madrid deal. Hazard, meanwhile, signed a contract extension with the club until 2024 when he arrived from Chelsea two years ago, despite scoring just five goals in that period due to a lack of fitness.
The future of head coach Zinedine Zidane is also unknown, and next season could be a hard reset if Real Madrid is able to get such big stars off the payroll line.
