Reliance and BP join hands to develop three gas projects

The Reliance Industries and BP have announced that they are going to start developing three deep water gas projects  in the KG- D6 block off the Indian east coast. The projects are named, R Cluster, Satellites Cluster and MJ. The three combined are expected to meet 15% of the Indian demand for gas by 2023. In the project, Reliance Industries holds 66.67% interest while BP holds 33.33% interest. The gas field will be located about 60 kilometres from the existing KG D6 Control and Rise Platform.
