Reliance Industries (RIL) has announced a few reliefs and support to their employees and their families starting with that it will provide last year drawn salaries till five years to the nominees of those employees who succumbed to Covid-19.
The company has also announced to make complete payment of tuition fee, hostel accommodation, and book fee up till graduation for children of the deceased at any institute in India along with payment of premium for hospitalization coverage for spouse, parents, and children (till the Bachelor’s degree of the children).
Along with the mentioned supports, employees or any one in their family affected by Covid-19 can avail a special covid-19 leave until they recover completely both physically and emotionally. This leave policy has been extended to make sure that all Reliance employees focus on recovering completely or caring for their COVID-19 positive family members.
“Some of us are struggling to cope with the deeply painful loss of our precious colleagues, family members, and loved ones who have succumbed to COVID-19,” said Nita Ambani in relation to the workforce.
Apart from all the bore expenses, Reliance Industries has also announced to provide an additional amount of ₹10 lakh to the families of the deceased employees in order to support and care for such families, as announced by Nita Ambani that “to all bereaving families of any off-roll workforce member working for the group, who has succumbed to COVID-19, Reliance is extending the following support.”
