Republicans in Ohio want ‘President Donald J Trump Day’

Two Republicans have allegedly put forward a suggestion to make June 14 ‘Donald J Trump Day’ in Ohio.

The state representatives Jon Cross and Reggie Stoltzfus said in an email to their colleagues that the day would celebrate “one of the greatest presidents in American history”, according to Cincinatti.com. Trump won in the state of Ohio both in 2016 and in 2020. The email also said, “Let’s show the 3,154,834 Ohio voters who cast their ballot to re-elect Donald J. Trump that we as a legislature recognise the accomplishments of his administration.”

June 14 is the birthday of the former president and also flag day in the US. A Democrat considered celebrating June 14 as “Donald J. Trump Day” disrespectful to flag day.
