RG Kar Case: 90 days without justice; a big protest rally to be held in Dharmatala

Today marks the three months of the RG Kar Abhaya rape case. All the junior doctors will be hosting protests, as well as multiple programs being organised.

Members of the West Bengal Junior Doctors Front have called for a procession from College Square to Dharmatala at 3 pm on Saturday. There will be treachery galleries in various medical colleges of the state as well. Various pieces from the long movement will be showcased through this gallery.

Meanwhile, the agitating doctor Kinjal Nanda and others have given a message to make this march a success. At the same time, Abhaya Mancha will hold a charge sheet program for the public at Dharmatala.

Junior Doctors Association is also organizing separate programs. A mass convention is being organized by them at Star Theatre. Meanwhile, the junior doctors have repeatedly said that they have not left the streets. They are not leaving the road.

But as a result of the movement, how much justice was finally achieved, how much action was taken by the government, how much security was increased in hospitals, how many people were removed by the government, how much action was taken by the government against corruption, all these questions were not answered.

Doctor Kinjal Nanda on a Facebook post states, “90 days of injustice. Justice was not sought on the 90th day. The politics of fear is maintaining its maurisipatta in college. The fear of politics is well maintained in college as well. I am calling everyone from the hospital to the highway to fight shoulder to shoulder. Calling everyone for a civic march from College Square to Dharmatala on November 9, 90 days without justice from 3 pm.”

“We are not leaving the movement, we are not leaving the streets without taking Tilottma’s trial, we want justice, ” he concludes.
