RG Kar Case: CBI Conducts second round of Polygraph test

CBI sources previously stated that the test would be carried out by a team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).The Central Bureau of probe (CBI) completed a second round of polygraph tests on former RG Kar Medical College and Hospital (RGKMCH) principal Sandip Ghosh on Monday as part of its probe into the rape and murder of a female doctor at the institution.

A team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) would conduct the test, according to the CBI sources that first reported this information. In relation to the event, Sanjay Roy, the arrested culprit, had already taken a polygraph test administered by CBI personnel.In the meantime, on August 25, the Central Bureau of Investigation’s anti-corruption unit searched a number of places in Kolkata, West Bengal, that were linked to Sandip Ghosh and his family. In accordance with orders from the Calcutta High Court, the CBI filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Dr. Sandip Ghosh on August 24.

The inquiry was started after the CBI was directed to look into the claims of corruption at the medical college by a single bench of the High Court.The CBI will present a progress report on the inquiry on September 17 after the Calcutta High Court gives them three weeks to do so.
