Actor Rhea Chakraborty revisited one of the most difficult chapters of her life during the finale episode of her podcast Chapter 2 with Rhea Chakraborty. Looking back at the year 2020, Rhea reflected on the emotional and personal turmoil she faced following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, with whom she had been in a relationship. That period also saw her battling multiple allegations and being arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau over alleged drug links.
Speaking in the presence of her close friends, including Shibani Dandekar and Anusha Dandekar, Rhea said she would not have survived that phase without their unwavering support. She admitted that during those months, publicly acknowledging her support system did not feel possible. “At that time, it was not cool to announce that these are the people who were supporting me,” she said, adding that she now feels free to speak openly about it.
Rhea shared that while many describe her as strong, she believes survival came from leaning on the people around her. Acknowledging them publicly, she said, brought a sense of relief and closure. The actor grew emotional when Anusha expressed her wish for Rhea’s “Chapter 2” to be the best phase of her life, saying it was unfair to expect her to remain strong all the time.
Reflecting further, Rhea described 2020 as a defining yet painful year. Quoting her father, she said that without these women, the family may not have endured the storm, calling their support invaluable.
