Rupee opens 14 paise higher against US dollar, trades at Rs. 72.36
Indian rupee has opened 14 paise higher and is currently trading at Rs. 72.36 whereas on Monday it closed at Rs. 72.50 amid the buying in the domestic equity market. On Feb 22, Indian rupee was higher by 15 paise and was trading at Rs. 72.50 compared to it closed st Rs. 76.65 on Thursday.
Sensex is also up by 206.91 points i.e., 0.42% and trading at 49,951.23 whereas Nifty is up by 69.50 points i.e., 0.47% and is trading at 14,745.20. The Oil prices have once again risen cause of Texas deep freeze and is still holding its 13 month long high.
According to the data available on NSE, Foreign Institutional Investors have sold net shares worth Rs. 893.25 crore and Domestic Institutional Investors has also sold shares worth Rs. 919.88 crore on February 22, 2021.
