Russian forces raids Wagner chief’s lavish mansion in St Petersburg; Finds cabinet full of bizarre items

Russian security service has raided the lavish mansion of mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin in St Petersburg and have revealed the insights from it.

The security forces came across a wardrobe full of wigs, gold bars, and a stuffed alligator, as revealed by pro-Kremlin media outlet, Izvestia.

It has also been reported by the officials that they have recovered assault weapons, ammunition and even a photograph allegedly showing the severed heads of the Wagner leader’s enemies.

The lavish villa consisted of a lengthy indoor swimming pool with a bathing area, slides, and jacuzzi. The photographs also revealed the rooms lit up with what seemed to be glass chandeliers.

Apart from this, the contents of wardrobe included a wide variety of wigs, from grey to mousy brown, which were apparently used by Wagner chief in order to disguise. Photographs of Prigozhin wearing the wigs were leaked to state-backed Russian Telegram channels. The photographers taken from Prigozhin’s personal photo album revealed that he might have used the wigs during his trips to various African and Middle Eastern countries where Wagner have had a presence in recent years.

Speaking of Wagner, it was founded in 2014 and was involved in operations in Ukraine’s eastern regions. In subsequent years, it has also fought in countries such as Libya, Syria, and the Central African Repulic.
