Sachin Tendulkar’s never-seen-before Shivaji Park 1989 photo goes viral, fans get nostalgic

Sachin Tendulkar made his debut as a 16-year-old on November 15, 1989, during a Test match in Karachi. Over the following 24 years, he built a legacy. Tendulkar is still revered by millions of fans, and his career is remembered fondly.

Such a recollection was recently posted on Twitter, prompting admirers to reminisce and reflect on 1989. The snapshot, provided on Twitter by writer Rameshwar Singh, shows a young Tendulkar visiting Shivaji Park, flanked by some younger supporters. “Young fans look on in wonder as Sachin Tendulkar packs his kit bag after a training session at Shivaji Park in Bombay in 1989,” Singh wrote.

Fans were blown away by the one image, and many took to Twitter to express their feelings. “To think he had that type of following at 16,” one individual remarked, adding that Tendulkar must have travelled in Mumbai residents for the last time in 1989. “I truly appreciate Tendulkar’s mental fortitude,” said another, referring to the criticism he faced. Some even inquired about his gear. Fans were ecstatic to hear the news about Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar COVID-19 revelation startled fans earlier this year, and the batsman responded: “I have just returned from the hospital and will stay secluded while continuing to rest and recuperate. I’d want to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers. Thank you very much.” However, good news is that Tendulkar is presently in good health.
