Actor Saiyami Kher is currently shooting for Haiwaan, an upcoming film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, and she couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the experience. Speaking about the project, Saiyami said working on the film has been an “absolute joy,” with a set atmosphere that is warm, energetic and creatively stimulating.
The actor revealed that the shoot is nearing completion and is expected to wrap up by the end of the month. She also hinted at another film lined up next, describing it as a challenging, author-backed role that she is looking forward to exploring.
Talking about Haiwaan, Saiyami shared that while the film is loosely adapted from a Malayalam project, it does not fit neatly into one genre. What excites her the most is seeing Akshay Kumar in a completely new space. According to her, audiences will witness the actor in a way that hasn’t been seen in years, thanks to the choices he has made for this film.
Saiyami was equally appreciative of Saif Ali Khan, calling his performance incredible while teasing that viewers are in for something special. She described Saif as effortlessly funny, saying his sense of humour lights up the set.
With outdoor schedules in Ooty and Cochin, Saiyami said working with Akshay and Saif felt like a “picnic,” filled with sports and constant energy between takes. Despite their superstar status, she noted that both actors are grounded and easygoing, making Haiwaan a truly enjoyable collaboration.
