From March 25 to 29, Samsung showcased its concept of integrating art into daily life at Art Basel Hong Kong 2026. This prestigious event brought together 240 leading galleries from 41 countries and territories. Samsung’s special booth demonstrated how their 2026 Art TVs can transform artworks into vivid and detailed displays.
Visitors entered the Samsung Art Lounge, where large-scale digital artworks provided an immersive experience of art in everyday settings. As the Official Art TV provider for Art Basel, Samsung offered an exhibition defined by light, scale, and space, showing how art can extend beyond galleries into homes.
The Samsung Art TV Lounge was themed “Crossing Time, Crossing Space,” connecting Korean artistic heritage with modern art at home. Upon entering, visitors encountered a LED facade before viewing digital artworks on Samsung Art TVs. At the center of the lounge, a 130-inch Micro RGB screen served as a focal point, capturing the intricacies of each artwork.
The exhibition featured a cube-like arrangement with the Samsung OLED, The Frame Pro, and the 130-inch Micro RGB. These displays showcased selections from the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-Hee’s collection, in partnership with the National Museum of Korea. The works included art by Yoon-Hee, known for abstract paintings and sculptures, and JongSuk Yoon, recognized for vibrant landscapes blending Eastern and Western art styles.
Further into the exhibition, guests explored the Samsung Art Store’s 2026 Art Basel Hong Kong collection. This curated selection included 25 works from 20 artists, represented by galleries such as Bank, CLC Gallery Venture, and Rossi & Rossi.
Interactive elements extended beyond the lounge, with Samsung Art TV displays throughout the fair and an Art TV billboard selfie activation at the Hong Kong Entertainment Building Shopping Arcade, emphasizing art as part of everyday life.
Samsung also hosted an exclusive evening at Pier 1929, where guests explored their artistic preferences with Samsung Art TV. The event included interactive activities and small-group dinner conversations, fostering a personal connection with art. Junwha Hong, Vice President and Head of Marketing for Samsung’s Visual Display Business, highlighted Samsung’s partnership with Art Basel and the accessibility of world-class art through the 2026 Samsung Art TV lineup.
Through its collaboration with Art Basel, Samsung is making museum-quality artwork accessible at home, turning TVs into a personal way to experience art. The Samsung Art Store now offers the 2026 Art Basel: Hong Kong Collection, a digital art subscription featuring over 5,000 artworks and 800 artists.
