Samsung is broadening the reach of its One UI 8.5 beta program to include more Galaxy devices. This expansion follows the initial rollout in March and now incorporates devices such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy S23 FE, and, for the first time in the A series, the Galaxy A36 5G. The beta program will be accessible in select markets, including India, Korea, the U.K., and the U.S., as part of a phased rollout.
In collaboration with Android, Samsung is introducing support for AirDrop via Quick Share in the One UI 8.5 beta. This feature aims to enable more seamless cross-platform file sharing for Galaxy users on select devices, including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6.
The beta program is set to expand to more Galaxy devices later this month. Users interested in participating can register through the Samsung Members app.
The March 2026 rollout of the One UI 8.5 beta initially brought support to devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, and the Galaxy Tab S11 series. Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 are supported exclusively in Korea and the U.S., while the Galaxy A36 5G is supported only in India. The availability and timing of features may vary by market, with AirDrop support currently available on the Galaxy S26 series.
