Samsung Electronics has announced that it has retained its position as the leading microwave brand in Europe for the eleventh consecutive year. This achievement was confirmed by market intelligence firm Euromonitor International, which reported that Samsung had the highest retail volume sales of microwaves in Europe in 2025. The company has held this top spot every year since 2015.
Sang Jik Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Sales & Marketing Team for the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Maintaining our No. 1 position in Europe for eleven consecutive years reflects our continued commitment to meeting the evolving needs of consumers.” He emphasized that the company aims to strengthen its market position by combining premium design with user-friendly features and smart connectivity.
Samsung’s strategy has involved consistently adapting its microwave offerings to align with consumer preferences, incorporating features that enhance kitchen convenience. One such feature is the CERAMIC INSIDE, a ceramic-coated interior that is easy to clean and retains its color over time, even under high heat or greasy conditions. This surface is also up to 24 times more scratch-resistant than stainless steel, contributing to its durability.
In 2024, Samsung introduced a smart convection microwave oven, which enhances convenience through compatibility with SmartThings. This allows users to monitor and control the microwave remotely using their smartphones, even when they are not in the kitchen. The appliance also supports voice control through assistants like Bixby, offering a seamless cooking experience.
Further expanding its product range, Samsung launched new grill and solo microwave models with a sleek stainless-steel design. Available in 32L and 23L capacities, these models provide options to suit different cooking needs and household sizes. The stainless-steel finish ensures the appliances fit aesthetically in modern kitchen settings.
The new models feature recessed handles on the doors, making them easy to open even in confined spaces like cupboards. Additionally, the control panel is designed with a simple, streamlined user interface that integrates well with the overall design, providing intuitive usability.
