Samsung Wallet’s new ‘Trips’ feature enables seamless journeys for global travelers

Samsung Electronics has unveiled a new feature called “Trips” within Samsung Wallet, designed to streamline travel for Samsung Galaxy users by consolidating travel-related experiences in one location. This feature aims to provide travelers with a more seamless journey by offering quick access to essential travel details when needed.

According to Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at Samsung Electronics, “Travel plans are often scattered across confirmations, apps, and messages, and that creates friction at the exact moments people need clarity.” With the introduction of Trips, Samsung Wallet now offers Galaxy users a centralized place to organize their travel details, helping them stay organized as their plans progress.

The Trips feature includes a Trip timeline that consolidates all travel-related plans into a single view, bringing order to busy itineraries and ensuring a smoother journey from start to finish. By adding eligible items to Samsung Wallet, Trips can group them based on time and location, assisting travelers in maintaining a cohesive itinerary despite receiving details from various sources.

Users can manage a variety of travel-related experiences, including hotel bookings, flight itineraries, car rentals, excursions, and tickets for buses, trains, theme parks, and sporting events. Additionally, Trips allows users to manually add itinerary items and attach memos to saved items, helping them capture key reminders, plans, and notes throughout their trip.

This new feature highlights Samsung’s ongoing commitment to enhancing Samsung Wallet as a valuable tool in everyday life. The company plans to continue expanding Samsung Wallet by introducing new features and partner experiences, making it easier for Samsung Galaxy users to access and manage essential items, including while traveling.

Samsung Wallet ensures user peace of mind with protection from Samsung Knox, the company’s leading security platform. Samsung Knox employs measures such as encryption and biometric authentication to secure sensitive information, ensuring that only the device owner can access their data.

Samsung Wallet is designed as an easy-to-use, secure platform that helps Galaxy users organize everyday essentials—from payment cards to boarding passes—within one mobile application. With its refined interface and seamless access, Samsung Wallet aims to keep necessary items readily accessible while supporting an open ecosystem through trusted partner integrations that enhance user experiences over time.

Trips will become available in Samsung Wallet starting April 2026 on compatible Samsung Galaxy mobile phones in Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom. This feature applies to all Samsung Galaxy mobile phones compatible with Samsung Wallet version 5.9.32 or higher in Korea, version 6.4.97 or higher in the U.S., or version 6.4.98 or higher in the U.K.
