Sandeep Reddy Vanga Reveals Ranbir Kapoor Instantly Agreed to the Nude Walk Scene in Animal

Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor worked together on the 2023 film Animal. The movie became a box office success in spite of the strong reactions. The movie’s sequences became a hot topic of conversation. Among these was Kapoor’s n*de stroll scene, which the director most recently said was shot with ease due to Kapoor’s encouraging demeanour.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently spoke with Komal Nahta and attributed Animal’s success to his and Ranbir Kapoor’s understanding. He highlighted how the actor supported the director’s beliefs and that Kapoor would urge him to do what he wanted to do without asking any questions, even when he enquired if they were headed in the correct way.

The director, Kabir Singh, used the n*de walk scene from Animal as an example to illustrate his thesis. He disclosed that the lower body and thighs will initially receive prostheses, which worked flawlessly during the test shot. But it didn’t seem good when they were really aiming for it.

“Actually, we intended to film the scenario in full focus and conceal his groin with props as he was walking.”  However, he continued, “I just said we will shoot the scene out of focus because the prosthetics aren’t working properly.”

“Given that hours had already been spent preparing the scenario and getting the measurements ready for the prosthetics”, the director said it was sufficient cause for an actor to become frustrated. But the actor from Love & War said he didn’t mind if it was shot in a different way.

“He said okay right away. There was no conversation. I suggested that filming it out-of-focus would make the dialogue more eerie and intriguing during the ten-minute exchange.”

Vanga said, “And he was ready. The director also reaffirmed that having a close relationship with the actor makes things quite easy. The outcome might be anything, he said, but with a clear understanding, making the movie is enjoyable, and it all comes down to conviction.”

Fans are now anxiously awaiting the film’s sequel, Animal Park, following the release of its first episode.
