Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first OTT directorial ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ released it’s Official Trailer

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is one of the most eagerly awaited web series of the year. The magnum-opus director’s OTT directorial debut will be with the series.

Plot

The exciting teaser takes viewers to the Heeramandi neighbourhood, where Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) is the head of a prestigious courtesan house. She plots, not afraid of anyone, until her late nemesis’s daughter Fareedan (Sonakshi Sinha) returns and escalates the situation in the home. Outside, the city is likewise in turmoil as rebels, led by Mallikajaan’s daughter Bibbojaan (Aditi Rao Hydari), call for India to be freed from British dominion.

Alamzeb (Sharmin Segal), the youngest of Mallikajaan’s children, longs to leave Heeramandi and dreams of falling in love with Tajdar (Taha Shah Badussha), the son of a nawab (nobleman). The struggle for the independence of pre-independent India reaches a breaking point as betrayal grows and forbidden impulses conflict with social standards. In this context, Mallikajaan aneramandi’s huzoor, or lady.
