Sayani Gupta reveals how an actor ‘lingered the kiss’ after the shot was cut

Sayani Gupta recently talked candidly about her experiences filming personal situations during her career. In a new interview with Radio Nasha, the actor talked candidly about being in a precarious situation when a fellow actor attempted to “linger a kiss” after the scene was deleted.

Sayani stated: “I could write a book about intimacy, and I am grateful that this [inticimacy coordinator] is a profession that has come to India finally… I had worked with one in Margarita with a Straw in 2013.”

“Intimate scenes are the easiest to do because it is technical. Having said that, a lot of people also take advantage and I have been in situation where an actor will linger the kiss even after a cut and you are like ‘uhhh’ and sometimes it’s very subtle but that’s just indecent behaviour, ” she adds.

She continued by recalling a time she had to lie on the beach in a little dress while filming Four More Shots outside in Goa. “There were around 70 men in front of me at that moment, and I felt really exposed. There was not a single person beside me on the set, and there were only 800 extras.”

“I only need one person to be wearing a shawl, I thought. The safety of an actor or anyone else is frequently the last thing on anyone’s mind. Although an intimate scene is not necessary, there are instances when your boundaries are crossed, which is a general mentality that needs to be changed,” she concludes.

Sayani’s recent work was Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, a love comedy starring Prateik Babbar. It is already released on JioCinema.
