Senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Sanjay Singh is granted interim relief from arrest by the Supreme Court. An FIR was registered against him under a number of charges including sedition in Uttar Pradesh.
He had accused Uttar Pradesh government of being ‘pro-Thakur’ in a press conference on August 12, 2020. He also claimed that BJP had insulted the Dalits by not inviting President Ram Nath Kovind for the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
