Scott McTominay names two strict rules implemented by Erik ten Hag at Manchester United

Recently, Scott McTominay revealed two strict rules that Erik Ten Hag implemented after accepting the Manchester United managing position. Since joining the Red Devils in April 2022, the Dutch coach has already made several bold moves. Even Cristiano Ronaldo tasted his anger before leaving the club. Ten Hag suspended the Portuguese superstar from first-team training after he refused to play as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur and walked off the ground before the final whistle.

In any case, McTominay has praised Ten Hag’s efforts to teach discipline in the Manchester United dressing room. During a recent episode of the High-Performance podcast on YouTube, the Scottish midfielder described Ten Hag as a “demanding” manager with “so many high standards that the whole squad have to comply with.”

McTominay claims that Ten Hag wants his players to be on time for training sessions. The former Ajax manager is also strict about all football players wearing the same club attire, whether it be branded suits or tracksuits.

McTominay stated, “I think that’s the way it should be, especially when you play for a club like Man United. We all have to act accordingly and be professional in terms of everything we do. He’s massive on his timings, massive on every looking the same, wearing the same tracksuits and clothes.” The rules, in his opinion, will only  “contribute toward a good team.”
