Sean “Diddy” Combs was briefly hospitalized on Thursday, January 30, after being admitted to Brooklyn Hospital for an MRI on his knee. The hip-hop mogul, who is currently in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on federal sex crime charges, was released shortly after the procedure and did not require an overnight stay. He has reportedly had chronic knee issues since running the New York City Marathon in 2003.
Combs has been detained since his indictment in September 2024, facing charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation of persons for prostitution. Federal prison officials have not commented on his medical treatment, citing privacy and security policies regarding inmates’ health and medical visits.
Combs is facing multiple lawsuits and allegations of sexual assault and abuse, including claims from women, men, and minors. These allegations involve serious accusations such as forcing women to participate in organized sexual acts, known as “freak offs.” While he has denied all allegations, his legal troubles continue, and he is scheduled to go to trial in May 2025.
