Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team has strongly countered the accusations made against him in a federal sex trafficking and racketeering case. According to a recent court filing, Combs’ lawyers argue that the videos described in the indictment, which they refer to as “freak offs,” depict consensual sexual encounters and not the illicit activities prosecutors suggest. The defense contends that the videos show adults engaging in consensual sex, refuting claims of coercion, violence, or exploitation.
The filing also disputes the prosecution’s claims about secret filming, underground locations, and the involvement of minors, calling them misleading and based on “puritanical views.” Combs’ attorneys further assert that the charges, which include sex trafficking and prostitution, are rooted in sexism and an unjust portrayal of adult relationships. They have requested that the videos in question be provided to the defense team for review, maintaining that the recordings do not demonstrate any form of force or illegal conduct.
The case, which is drawing significant attention, follows Combs’ September 2024 indictment. He has denied all allegations of sexual abuse, drugging, and rape and remains incarcerated without bail. The trial is scheduled for May 2025.
