Charges of cocaine and marijuana possession against Brendan Paul, a man accused of acting as a drug mule for rapper Sean Diddy Combs, have been formally dismissed. Paul, who was arrested in March, will not face prosecution on these charges after successfully completing a pretrial diversion program.
Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player, had been charged with felony cocaine possession in connection with lawsuits against Combs, who has been embroiled in multiple legal issues. Paul pleaded not guilty to the felony charge, and his attorney, Brian Bieber, confirmed on December 17 that the case was dismissed in its entirety.
Paul had accepted a plea deal in May and entered the diversion program. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was released on March 26. Bieber had previously indicated that the case would be dismissed once Paul completed the program.
This dismissal is part of the ongoing legal challenges faced by Sean Diddy Combs. The mogul, who is facing multiple lawsuits—including allegations of sexual harassment, drug use, and other offenses—has denied the accusations. He is currently detained in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where he has publicly rejected the charges and expressed frustration over the damage to his reputation. This case adds to the complex legal landscape surrounding Combs, including ongoing federal investigations and raids on his properties in Miami and Los Angeles related to alleged sex trafficking.
