Security agencies go on high alert as three more sightings of drones in Jammu are witnessed

Alarming the police and keeping the other security agencies on tenterhooks, on Tuesday night and also in the early hours of Wednesday, in the outskirts of Jammu city, drones were spotted at 3 places.

While at Miran Sahib, the first drone was sighted at around 9:23 p.m. Tuesday followed by second and third drones being seen in Kunjwani and Kaluchak areas at 4:52 a.m. and 4:40 a.m. respectively on Wednesday, as said by the sources.

Since the drone attack at the Indian Air Force Station in Jammu during the early hours of Sunday, such drones have been seen in the Union Territory every single day in the present week.

While the army had claimed to have spotted drones flying over Kaluchak and Ratnuchak military station on Monday thereby open firing at them and making them fly away, a drone sighting over Ratnuchak, Kaluchak and Kunjwani areas on Tuesday morning was seen.

A major threat was avoided by the alertness and proactive approach of the troops along with the security forces being on high alert was mentioned by Army Public Relations Officer Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand on Monday.

In connection with two powerful explosions at an airport run by the Indian Air Force in Jammu, under provisions of the unlawful activities prevention act, the Jammu and Kashmir police have registered and First information report early on Sunday.

Minor injuries had been sustained by two people due to the splinters from the blast as the first explosion took place at 1:37 a.m. followed by the other at 1:42 a.m.
