Sensex closed at 47,746 up with 0.28%. Nifty gained 41 points at 13,973. Among sectoral indices Auto and IT outperformed. SAIL and Ramco cements fixed in top gainers, while REC and Bandhan Bank gathered as top losers. A total of 938 shares were advanced and 775 were declined.
