Sensex, Nifty record lifetime high led by banks, financials and auto stocks


On Wednesday, Indian equity markets closed at record high for the third day led by banks, financials and auto stocks. Lakshmi Vilas Bank hit the 20% lower circuit as RBI announced it’s merger with DBS Bank after placing it under one month moratorium. On Sensex, 15 stocks advanced and an equal number declined where it gained 227 points to close at 44,180. On Nifty, 26 shares rose and settled 0.5% higher at 12938.
