Serum Institute to fix vaccine price at Rs 250 per dose

Serum Institute of India, is likely to fix a price range of Rs 250 per dose for its COVID-19 vaccine, Covidshied. The institute is in the process of signing a contract with the Central Government reported Business Standard. CEO Adar Poonawala of SII said, “the vaccine would be priced at 1,000 rupees ($13.55) per dose in India’s private market, but governments signing large supply deals would likely buy it at lower prices.” The company focuses on supplying vaccines domestically and then enlarging its distribution in foreign countries.
