Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly sustained a muscular injury while filming a high-octane action sequence for his upcoming movie King. The incident took place at the Golden Tobacco studio in Mumbai, as per a report by Bollywood Hungama.
The actor was flown to the United States for immediate medical attention. While the exact nature of the injury has not been officially disclosed, sources confirmed it was a muscular injury, possibly related to previous stunt-related strain. Over the years, Shah Rukh has suffered multiple such injuries during physically demanding roles.
“It’s nothing serious, but requires rest. He has been advised to take a break for about a month,” a source close to the production revealed. The film’s shooting has now been pushed back, with the next schedule expected to begin in September or October once the actor fully recovers.
King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is one of the most anticipated films of next year. The film features an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, and others. Notably, it also marks the big-screen debut of Suhana Khan, who will be seen alongside her father Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. In the film, SRK will play a powerful don, with Suhana portraying his protégé.
