The much-awaited preview of Aryan Khan’s Netflix debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood was unveiled at a glittering media event in Mumbai, where father-son duo Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan made a rare joint appearance. The show, which marks Aryan’s directorial debut, has been in the making for four years and finally had its moment in the spotlight.
Shah Rukh Khan kickstarted the evening by addressing his recent shoulder injury with trademark wit, joking, “1-2 mahina lagega mujhe recover karne ke liye, lekin National Award uthaane ke liye mera ek haath hi kaafi hai,” earning loud cheers from the audience.
The superstar also revealed his first reaction when Aryan pitched the show’s concept. “Mujhe laga kahin yeh Mannat ka CCTV toh nahi YouTube pe daal raha. But he was actually creating something fresh and unique,” SRK said, adding that though it took him time to grasp the raw and edgy tone, he was eventually completely drawn in. He praised the cast, saying, “Hindi mein bolun toh bohot hi dhaasu acting ki hai sabne, bohot hi faadu performances hain sabki.”
Aryan Khan, visibly excited, spoke about his journey, expressing that the show is the result of years of hard work. The evening also saw lead actors Bobby Deol, Lakshya, and Sahher Bambba joining SRK and Aryan on stage, making it a star-studded affair.
