Shania Twain opens up about how menopause changed her perception: ‘Love Yourself’

Shania Twain lately spoke about accepting everything about herself and how menopause has given her an entirely new perspective on her appearance.

In an interaction with the New York Post, she said that menopause has taught her to quickly say, ‘You know, it may only get worse. So just love yourself now. Just get over your insecurities—they’re standing in your way. And fear is standing in your way.’

Despite being recognized for singing fearless and empowering songs, the 58-year-old actress-singer realized she wasn’t following her own advice. She pointed out that she wasn’t living it as she was writing it and she wanted to do that. She went on to say that she is now more fierce than she has ever been because she has demanded it about herself.

She now loves and appreciates her body more than all due to her newfound sense of confidence. She stated that after years of disliking her body, she now likes to feel sexy. She added that his new outlook on her body image had also motivated her to go topless for the Waking Up Dreaming single artwork.

“I think I needed to capture where I am right now, because it’s a moment that I want to remember. So I just had to be brave about it, to own it. This is the way I should be at my age. I’m fine with it. And I’m not afraid of it anymore,” she said.
