Shilpa Shetty pays tribute to Sridevi with Chandni-inspired look in yellow chiffon saree

Shilpa Shetty recreates Sridevi’s unforgettable Chandni vibe in a yellow chiffon saree, leaving fans nostalgic and showering her with love on social media.

Shilpa Shetty has once again won hearts by paying a graceful tribute to late superstar Sridevi. The actor took to Instagram to share a reel where she recreated the iconic Chandni look in a vibrant yellow chiffon saree, a style immortalised by Sridevi in Yash Chopra’s 1989 romantic classic.

In the video, Shilpa is seen twirling under the sunshine, lip-syncing to the evergreen Tere Mere Hontho Pe, originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Babla Mehta. She captioned her post, “My ode to my forever OG Sriji #Chandni #Chandnivibes,” expressing her admiration for the legendary actor.

The tribute quickly became a fan favourite. Her husband Raj Kundra dropped heart emojis in the comments, while fans couldn’t stop praising her elegance. “Look at the sunshine. Our day just got 100x brighter,” wrote one fan, while another said, “Omg, to be fit like her at her age is the ultimate goal.” A third admirer added, “Can’t take my eyes off you.”

Chandni remains one of the most celebrated films in Hindi cinema. Starring Sridevi, Rishi Kapoor, and Vinod Khanna, the Yash Chopra directorial is remembered for its breathtaking visuals, Shiv-Hari’s soulful music, and Sridevi’s timeless performance. The film also went on to win the National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
