Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer had to undergo surgery of his shoulder at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital today on April 08, 2021 and will require at least 5 months to recover. Iyer had hurt his left shoulder while fielding during the first match against England.
He was in tremendous pain when the Indian team physiotherapist treated him on the field before taking him for scans. Further Iyer did not take part in any the match and also in the tournament. Meanwhile Shreyas Iyer took to twitter to share his health condition with his fans. “Surgery was a success and with lion-hearted determination, I’ll be back in no time. Thank you for your wishes”.

Iyer is also set to miss the whole 14th season of IPL which starts from tomorrow with Delhi Capitals playing their first match against Chennai Super Kings on April 10, 2021. Rishabh Pant will lead the side in his absence.
