Shubman Gill takes first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and urges all to get vaccinated

On Saturday, May 15, Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Shubman Gill took the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine and urged the youngsters to get jabbed and upgrade their superpower. And he also appreciated all the doctors and frontline workers for their work in this pandemic.

He posted a photo and wrote, ” Get your superpowers upgraded as soon as you are able to. Massive shoutout to all the doctors and frontline workers for putting in all the effort.” on his Twitter handle.

He is playing for the Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.  And before the suspension of this season of the Indian Premier League, he scored just 132 runs in 7 games at an average of 18.85 and a strike rate of 117.85. Also, he has been named in the Indian squad that will be traveling to England for World Test Championship (WTC) final next month.
