Leon Brown explains how music has helped them get through difficult times.

The 28-year-old Sister Wives star shared in a series of Instagram images how watching their favorite musicians Joy Oladokun and Brandi Carlile perform at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado, was a transformative experience.

“I’ve been trying all week to find the words to describe seeing @joyoladokun for the second & third time & seeing @brandicarlile for the first time last weekend & i just don’t think words cut it honestly,” they captioned a carousel that featured selfies and videos of the performances by their partner, Audrey Kriss.

Leon continued, “Joy’s music has gotten me through some of my darkest days. i sobbed watching them play ‘somehow’ at red rocks. as a queer kid who was also raised in a church that taught me to hate myself, joy’s music deeply resonates with me.”

She added, “I can’t really think of words other than— thank you, joy, for creating art so life-affirming & hope giving, your music has truly changed my life.”

According to In Touch, who received a copy of the marriage certificate, Leon quietly married Audrey on October 29, 2022, at a courtroom in Colorado. The couple got engaged at the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. in January 2019.
