Six UK returnees test positive with the new strain of coronavirus

India has reported six cases of the new coronavirus strain. The government stated that these six people are UK returnees and are found positive with the coronavirus variant. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said these patients are kept in single room isolated designed but respective state governments. People closely related to them have also been put under quarantine. According to the statement from November 25 to December 23, about 33,000 passengers have arrived in India from the UK. Of these, 114 tested positive for COVID-19.
