Skoda Octavia 2021 launched at ₹25.99 lakh in India

After the long delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, the new Skoda Octavia has been launched in India.

The price range for the new fourth-generation Octavia is from ₹25.99 lakh for Style trim to ₹28.99 lakh for Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim.

As a leader in the executive sedan segment, the Skoda Octavia has been managing a very fine balance between comfort and driving experience.

With the new Octavia, Skoda offers three standard colour options: Lava Blue, Magic Black and Candy White. In addition, Brilliant Silver and Maple Brown are reserved for the L&K trim.

On the outside, without losing its original design, the Skoda Octavia has evolved gracefully over generations. The length, width, height and wheelbase of the Octavia are 4689 mm, 1829 mm, 1469 mm and 2680 mm respectively. The new fourth-generation Octavia is longer by 20 mm and wider by 19mm but its height remains untouched.

The India-spec Octavia features a beige-on-black colour scheme rather than an all-black colour scheme, to make it look more tempting to the Indian buyers. It would help with the sense of space inside the cabin as well. Compared to its predecessor, the new Octavia’s cabin is fresher and premium to look at since the quality of materials and finesse add up.

It consists of 4 cylinders and is powered by a 2.0 litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 188 bhp between 4180 rpm and 6000 rpm. It has a peak torque of 320 Nm between 1500 rpm and 3990 rpm. While the fuel economy (ARAI) is 15.81 kmpl, the engine is paired with Seven-Speed DSG Automatic Transmission and helps clocking triple digit speeds in 6.9 seconds.

In total, there are eight airbags in Octavia 2021 along with multi-collision break, fatigue alert and electronic aids.
