Slack app adds an update, more features for easy work

The Slack update was first spotted by the Verge. The scheduled message feature adds a new drop-down menu, next to the ‘send message’ paper plane icon on the desktop app. On clicking, the users will be offered with a menu that would allow the users to schedule messages that has to be sent as direct messages.

Slack, is a popular workspace messaging app that has allowed its users with a new feature that schedules a message to be sent at a later time or date by the users. The update is being rolled out for the Slack’s desktop, Android, and iOS apps.

The new feature will let users schedule messages for up to 120 days in advance and also offer the ability to set a custom date and time for a message. The update has been started to roll out for users gradually and all users would be able to access it in the upcoming days.

The Verge has spotted out the newest update of the messaging app Slack. The scheduled message feature adds a new drop-down menu, next to the ‘send message’ paper plane icon on the desktop app. On clicking, the users will be offered with a menu that would allow the users to schedule messages that has to be sent as direct messages. Android and iOS users can access the menu by a ‘long-press’ on the paper plane icon on the app.

According to a screenshot that was shared by the Verge, the scheduled messages feature on the slack provided three options to the users. User’s could also view, edit, and manage scheduled messages any time before it is sent. Slack will provide the users for a “scheduled tab” that would have five options that is Edit Message, Reschedule message, Send message, Cancel schedule and save to draft, and Delete message.
