Slavisa Jokanovic appointed as Sheffield United manager

Chris Wilder, who managed Sheffield United for five years and get them to Premier League last season will be succeeded by former Fulham manager, Slavisa Jokanovic who was managing Al-Gharafa in Qatar’s top league.

Sheffield United was relegated from Premier League after starting good, they even went on to the ninth position in the league but a series of losses made them suffer and now they’ll be playing the second division of English football under their new manager, Slavisa Jokanovic.

Jokanovic said that he is excited to work again in English football and looking forward to getting started with the players and staff and excited about meeting the clubs passionate and loyal supporters as he’ll prepare for the challenge in the Championship next season.

Jokanovic also said that he wants to assure the fans that he’ll be fully committed to helping the team achieve its goal and make everyone proud again. He’ll turn the Bramall lane into a fortress with the help of the fans support who have been away for the majority of the last season due to COVID-19.

Jokanovic has managed Watford to Premier League in 2015 and he also led Fulham to promotion to Premier League in 2018 so he’ll be a very good choice to lead Sheffield United back to the top division of English football.
