Sonu Sood to set 18 oxygen plants across various Indian states

Sonu Sood has been actively participating in philanthropic work to deal with Covid-19 and he is now aiming to set up as many as 18 oxygen plants across various Indian states namely Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.

The famous Bollywood actor has been working in the forefront for Covid-19 and has been making headlines with his humanitarian work. He has now promised to set up almost 18 oxygen plants across various states of the country.

The actor is taking his first step from Kurnool and Nellore in Andhra Pradesh and Mangalore in Karnataka. He will also set the plants in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and many others. They are said to cater for the needs of at least 5,500 beds.

Sonu Sood while talking about the approach said, “In the last few months we have seen that the biggest problem that we all have faced is oxygen and the unavailability of it. My team and I thought about what we should do to eradicate this oxygen problem from its roots. So, we decided that we should set up entire oxygen plants in as many places as possible.”

He further added, “These oxygen plants would be installed mostly in hospitals where the poor people are given free treatment. With these oxygen plants being installed our aim is to ensure that not a single person in the country should die of the unavailability of a basic necessity like oxygen. Let’s all come together and give a hand to the needy in these striving times.”

Speaking about the forthcoming third wave of Covid-19, the actor said, “This will solve the problem of oxygen forever. We now have 750 odd oxygen concentrators which we are giving out, and they’re all for domestic usage. But the oxygen plants will keep giving oxygen for years to come. There wouldn’t be a shortage of oxygen in these areas ever again. Why wait for a 3rd or a 4th wave or even a pandemic. These villages will get a complete flow of oxygen forever.”

The process of installing the plants and making them functional and available will start within next month, Sonu stated.

Sonu Sood has been putting his best foot forward to help the underprivileged and everyone else with his philanthropic activities. From supplying oxygen cylinders to helping people get proper medical attention and raising awareness about vaccination he has been giving it his all.

Meanwhile, on the work front, He will be seen in a film titled ‘Kisaan’ directed by E Niwas and will also be a part of the upcoming Telugu Movie ‘Acharya.’
