Sony Entertainment files FIR against cable company for allegedly stealing cable

Sony Picture Entertainment Inc has filed a case at Amboli police station against two individuals for allegedly stealing signals worth Rs 47.96 lakh. As per Free Press Journal, the FIR revealed that Andheri based ABS Digital Cable Private Limited is illegally obtaining signals from Sony Marathi channel, Sony-Sab 2 channel, Sony Entertainment HD channel, and Sony Sports 5.

As per the reports by multiple news outlet, the case was registered by Sarfraj Ali Sayyad, who has been acting as an anti-piracy consultant on behalf of the Sony Entertainment Inc. The private digital cable has also been accused of broadcasting Sony’s channel illegally.
