Sourav Ganguly’s Unexpected Role in Khakee Promo Wins Over Fans

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has surprised fans with his acting skills in a promo for Netflix’s upcoming web series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. The promo, released on Monday, has gone viral, with fans expressing their excitement on social media.

In the video, Sourav unexpectedly arrives on the set of the show and asks for a role. The director offers him the character of a bold and honest police officer, which suits his personality. However, when he tries to perform an intense action scene, he struggles to show the required aggression. To help him, someone suggests he think about something that makes him angry. That’s when he recalls his rivalry with former Australian cricketer and coach Greg Chappell, who was India’s coach from 2005 to 2007.

A lookalike of Chappell appears in India’s training kit, shouting instructions, which reminds Sourav of their past conflicts. He then yells at the camera and performs action scenes, including beating up criminals. But when asked to finish all his action scenes in just eight seconds, he jokingly gives up on acting and decides to promote the show instead.

Fans have loved Sourav’s humor and presence in the promo. With Khakee: The Bengal Chapter releasing soon, his unexpected appearance has made the show even more exciting.
