Spanish football association has received good news ahead of Euro 2020 as the cases of COVID-19 had reduced in the team and the latest player to recover from this deadly virus is Diego Llorente. Sergio Busquets was the first player to get affected by this virus. Diego had tested negative for the second time in one week and could be joining the team as early as Friday.
The result of Diego Llorente that turned positive earlier had serious indications of being a false positive after further counter analysis was carried out and it depicted that the defenders sample showed no signs of virus which is a piece of great news for the Spanish football team and could help them extensively keeping in mind that Sergio Ramos, their key defensive player has been left out of the squad.
After the two positive cases in the team camp, the Spanish FA had created a parallel squad and players such as Kepa Arrizabalaga, Rodrigo Moreno, Raul Albiol were kept on hold in case of more cases arising in the main squad. The U-23 squad played in the game against Lithuania and won 4-0, as the team had to undergo strict isolation. Spain will be looking forward to Diego Llorente and Sergio Busquet’s arrival in the squad as soon as possible as they can help them in putting up a fight in the upcoming championship.
