Special police officer shot dead by terrorists along with his family in Pulwama district

On Sunday, a Special police officer and his wife were shot dead at there house in Hariparigram village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. As per reports, the terrorists opened fire at them in there house.

The police informed that the incident took place on Sunday where their daughter also sustained critical injuries in the attack. The security forces have cordoned off and launched a search operation to track down the assailants, the police added.

The Kashmir Zone Police claimed that the terrorist barged into the house of ex-SPO Fayaz Ahmad of Hariparigam, Awantipora and fired randomly. They further stated that in this incident Ahmad with his wife and daughter encountered several injuries. Ahmad and his wife surrendered to the injuries at the hospitals, informed Kashmir Zone Police.

Reportedly, the SPO along with his wife were hurried to the hospital where they both succumbed to the injuries. However, their daughter who was also taken to the hospital and was under treatment also succumbed to the injuries, as per the latest report. The Kashmir Zone Police added, “Later, Ahmad’s wife also succumbed to injuries at a hospital after terrorist fired at them inside their house in Awantipora, Pulwama.” Ahmed was reportedly threatened to resign two years ago to which he never responded.

Twin Explosion rock IAF technical airport in Jammu

Prior to this above incident, earlier on Sunday two Indian Air Force personnel were also injured in the twin explosion which took place at the technical area of the Jammu airport. The area was occupied by the IAF in the early hours of the day.

According to reports, it is assumed that probably for the first time Pakistan-based terrorist have utilized unmanned aerial vehicle in an attack.

Dilbag Singh, Director General of Police informed news agency PTI, “The attack at the IAF station in Jammu is a terror attack.” He further affirmed that police and other agencies are cooperating with the IAF officials to unravel the plan executed behind the attack.

The investigators are trying to look into the flight path of the two drones that crashed into the high security Indian Air force station at Jammu airport.
