Spider-Man Villains Who Deserve The Spotlight

Spider-Man Villains Who Deserve The Spotlight

Spider-Man has gone up against some of the most dangerous and brilliant villains in movie history. From Green Goblin and Venom to Vulture, we’ve seen him take on enemies who are not only powerful but also incredibly smart. Some were brilliant scientists, while others were accidents gone wrong. But there’s still a long list of intriguing villains who have yet to make their way to the big screen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially as foes for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

With Morbius and Kraven the Hunter already introduced, it’s time to look at a few more villains who deserve their shot at battling the web-slinger in New York.

Hobgoblin
There’s a strong chance we could see Hobgoblin in the MCU, and Spider-Man: No Way Home might have even hinted at it. Remember the scene where Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Holland’s Peter Parkers were working in the lab, and Ned Leeds got nervous when he learned that one of Peter’s best friends turned into a goblin? Well, in the comics, Ned Leeds becomes Hobgoblin, one of Spider-Man’s most ruthless and dangerous goblin-themed villains. If the MCU follows this storyline, we could see a shocking transformation for Ned in the future.

Hydro-Man
Morris Bench gained his abilities after falling into an experimental generator while being exposed to volcanic gases, which altered his molecular structure and gave him the ability to transform into water. Similar to Sandman, Hydro-Man can manipulate his liquid form, making him a slippery and unpredictable foe. His presence in a Spider-Man movie could lead to some visually stunning action sequences, especially in a city like New York, where water is everywhere.

Kaine
Imagine Spider-Man but stronger, deadlier, and with a darker sense of justice. That’s Kaine—a clone of Peter Parker who possesses all of his abilities but with a few upgrades. His version of spider-sense is even more advanced, and he has a unique ability called the “Mark of Kaine,” which allows him to burn his handprint into his enemies. He’s one of the few villains who could truly push Spider-Man to his limits in a one-on-one fight.

Tombstone
If you thought Kingpin was the ultimate crime boss, wait until you meet Tombstone. Known for his terrifying strength and near-impervious skin, he’s been a major player in New York’s underworld. He even went head-to-head with Kingpin himself in the comics. While we haven’t seen a crime-driven Spider-Man movie yet, introducing Tombstone could be the perfect way to explore that side of Spidey’s world.

Which of these villains would you love to see in a future Spider-Man movie? Let us know, and stay tuned for more exciting updates!
