Squid Game 2 releases new posters featuring Lee Byung Hun and Wi Ha Joon

Squid Game Season 2 is all set for its grand premiere on December 26, 2024, and fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter of this high-stakes survival game. After the massive success of the first season, new posters and stills have been released, giving a glimpse of what’s to come, especially featuring Lee Byung Hun and Wi Ha Joon in pivotal roles.

On December 9, 2024, Netflix released two new character posters. Lee Byung Hun returns as the mysterious Frontman, this time standing unmasked among the Pink Guards, leaving viewers intrigued about his role and motivations in Season 2. After mostly being hidden behind a mask in the first season, the reveal of his face at the end left many questions unanswered. Season 2 will likely delve deeper into his enigmatic character and his involvement in the deadly game.

Meanwhile, Wi Ha Joon’s character Jun Ho is highlighted in another new poster. His piercing gaze and resolute expression indicate that he is determined to uncover the truth behind the game, especially after the shocking events of Season 1. Fans will be especially curious to see if he can reunite with his brother, the Frontman, who was revealed to be the sibling Jun Ho was searching for. The troubled relationship between the two brothers will certainly add more layers of tension to the season.

Additionally, new stills have been released, building even more anticipation. Seong Gi Hun (played by Lee Jung Jae) appears driven and determined to end the deadly game. The Frontman‘s ever-watchful presence teases an intense confrontation between them. There are also images of Myung Gi (played by Im Siwan) and Jun Hee (played by Jo Yu Ri), both marked with O and X symbols on their chests, hinting at the theme of “choice” that will play a major role in the participants’ fate. And then there’s Dae Ho (played by Kang Ha Neul), sporting a Marine Corps tattoo, exuding a cheerful yet mysterious vibe.

Directed by Hwang Dong Hyuk, Squid Game Season 2 will feature returning stars Lee Jung Jae as Seong Gi Hun, Lee Byung Hun as the Frontman, and Wi Ha Joon as Hwang Jun Ho. Gong Yoo will also reprise his role as the recruiter, adding his charismatic presence to the narrative.

The new cast members include Kang Ha Neul, Im Siwan, Jo Yu Ri, Park Gyu Yong, Park Sung Hoon, Yang Dong Geun, Lee David, Lee Jin Wook, T.O.P., and more, all contributing to what promises to be a thrilling continuation of the deadly game.
