Filmmaker SS Rajamouli has finally unveiled the much-awaited first look of Priyanka Chopra from his upcoming film, tentatively titled GlobeTrotter or SSMB 29. The poster, which dropped on Wednesday evening, has taken the internet by storm as fans welcomed Priyanka’s powerful comeback to Indian cinema.
In the first look, Priyanka appears as Mandakini, a character far from the typical Bollywood heroine. Dressed in a vibrant yellow saree, she’s seen standing on the edge of a cliff, balancing herself while firing a gun at an unseen target. The striking imagery has left fans curious about her character’s layers and the thrilling world Rajamouli seems to be creating.
Sharing the poster on social media, Rajamouli wrote, “The woman who redefined Indian cinema on the global stage. Welcome back, Desi Girl! Can’t wait for the world to witness your myriad shades of Mandakini.” Priyanka responded with her own post, captioning it, “She’s more than what meets the eye… say hello to Mandakini.”
Her co-star Mahesh Babu also shared the look, calling it “the arrival of Mandakini,” while Prithviraj Sukumaran’s look as the antagonist Kumbha was revealed earlier this month. The makers have announced a grand event at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on November 15, where the official title of GlobeTrotter will be revealed. The event will be live-streamed on JioHotstar, promising fans a spectacular launch of Rajamouli’s next cinematic universe.
