Stranger Things, Netflix’s flagship series, is coming to an end, and the streaming service is doing it in a spectacular way. A captivating new teaser full of action, emotion, and mystery was been released by the producers. Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve are the premiere dates for the final season, which will be released in three volumes.
According to behind-the-scenes images, WSQK 94.5 FM, the radio station where the teaser premieres, seems to be quite important this season. Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) ominously announces over the radio, “Burn commencing in 5,” which may be a reference to the group’s communication style in the chaotic, post-apocalyptic world they currently inhabit.
A dramatic orchestral remix of Deep Purple’s 1970 hit song Child in Time serves as the background music for the trailer. ‘Burn in hell’ has been vandalized, maybe with blood, on Eddie Munson’s grave. (Sadie Sink) Dustin appears to be infected with an odd Upside Down matter, and she is seen in the hospital with Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) at her side.
Newcomer Linda Hamilton plays Dr. Kay, who is in charge of a huge military facility near the entrance of a portal, while several Demogorgons are on the loose. “Wherever this blood leads, I need you to fight one last time,” Hopper (David Harbour) says to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in a single scene. “Let us put an end to this.”
The trailer announces, “The final chapter begins,” as brief shots of the complete cast appear on screen. Vecna emerges, more menacing than before, muttering, “Found you,” just when you believe it’s finished.
Netflix will start streaming Stranger Things Volume 1 on November 26 and Volume 2 on December 25. The series will come to an end just before the new year with the release of the grand finale on December 31.
